Chunkin Up was fabricated circa 1997 and has gone through many modifications since then. The exact specifications are top secret. The Chunkin Up team has competed every year since 1999 at The Punkin Chunkin World Championship held in Millsboro, Del.
Our best shot at The Chunk (2005) was 3,433.61 feet. Our best shot ever is... well... it goes so far that we can't find it! 4,000+ feet we think. Most of our shots are at targets, i.e. bill boards, cars, vans, RV trailers, you get the picture.
Our Chunkin season starts with cantaloupes towards the end of June, then in mid July Sugar Baby Watermelons become available (they are the best for target practice!!) We finish our season in the Fall with Pumpkins. I use the word "our" because it takes a team effort to fire this no till pneumatic pumpkin seeder; a minimum crew of three is necessary.
My pneumatic cannon is available for hire for fund risers and parties in the Washington DC metro areas. Mucho open space required; a minimum 800' of clear space for target shots, 5000' of open space of distance shots. Call for quotes.
